Library façade nears completion

13 December 2012

The saw tooth glass façade to the main library space was designed to allow plenty of natural light and ventilation whilst offering great views across the park without permitting views into nearby houses. The saw tooth is fabricated from a combination of three and five laminate glass with a decorative frit pattern interlay which was created from microscopic images of pine tree cell structures created by the Life Sciences Department at Oxford Brookes University.
