Thames pedestrian and cycle bridge announced as a Civic Trust National Winner

21 December 2015

We are pleased to announce that the Thames pedestrian and cycle bridge is one of only 49 National/International Winners, from 250 applications and will receive a Civic Trust Award or Commendation. The level of award will be revealed at the 57th Annual Civic Trust Awards Ceremony, which will be held at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London on 4th March 2016.

Design Engine worked in collaboration with Peter Brett Associates on the design of the new Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge over the Thames at Reading which was officially opened in October 2015. The new bridge is part of significant infrastructure improvements to Reading and provides a much needed link for pedestrians and cyclists between Reading Town Centre, the upgraded rail station and Caversham.
