Peter Blundy

Senior Associate

Peter joined Design Engine in 2014 after studying at the University of Nottingham, graduating from a Masters degree RIBA Part 2 with a First Class Honours.

Peter has considerable expertise managing project teams and delivering projects onsite. His rounded skillset from concept to project delivery provides valuable experience feeding back his technical knowledge at early design stages.

Peter brings early-stage design experience for a major school campus in the middle east. Alongside organisation and management skills, Peter has broad design background in the education sector along with a deep understanding of sustainable building practices. This drive to be a leader in sustainable construction practices sees him engage in the bigger picture of the carbon life cycle of buildings as well as the technical detail of how buildings are made.

He completed a Masters in Architecture and Environmental Design and has built his own home to Passivhaus standards undertaking large portions of the construction work himself. This practical experience and hands-on approach has proved hugely valuable during technical design and site work in understanding how to maintain design quality, delivered efficiently and pragmatically.

Peter remains actively engaged in architectural education through his time teaching architecture students at University College London.
