Alongside organisational and management skills, Peter has a broad design background in the education sector along with a sound understanding of sustainable building practices. He gained early-stage project experience while working on the design of a major school campus in the Middle East. Additionally, he remains actively engaged in architectural education through his time teaching at University College London.
Peter’s drive to be a leader in sustainable construction practices sees him engage in the bigger picture of the carbon life cycle of buildings as well as the technical detail of how buildings are made. He completed a Masters in Architecture and Environmental Design and has built his own home to Passivhaus standards; undertaking large portions of the construction work himself. This practical experience and hands-on approach have proved hugely valuable during technical design and site work, as he has a deep insight into how to maintain design quality efficiently and pragmatically.
Peter joined Design Engine in 2014 after graduating from a Masters degree RIBA Part 2 at the University of Nottingham with First Class Honours.
