Design Engine were honoured to attend the topping out ceremony for St Peter’s College’s Castle Bailey Quad.
This significant project milestone was celebrated with an ancient Saxon ritual in honour of its historic context. This involved un unappetising mix of ingredients being poured over a sprig of Yew in order to see off evil spirits.
St Peter’s College’s Castle Bailey Quad is a student residential building that is due to complete later this year. The two separate buildings which will house 54 new study bedrooms for the Oxford College is targeting Passivhaus LEB environmental certification.
